VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS – DECEMBER 6, 2021

Monday, December 6 – “Victorian Christmas Traditions” will be presented by Anne Barrett at 4pm at the Middleboro Public Library.

“Victoria Yule” welcomes you into her parlor where she’ll share the history of many Christmas traditions, passed down to her from “Grandmama and Grandpapa.”  She’ll read Dickens, display toys and handmade gifts that her family will be exchanging around the Christmas tree, and in her clear soprano, sing songs of the season. Travel back in time to Christmas 1895 with this fun, creative and engaging performance!  Audiences say, “For the past hour I felt like I was IN 1895!”

Limited to 25 participants please call 781-361-1427 or email middleboroughmuseum@gmail.com to reserve your place.

MHA Program for MAY 2021

The Middleborough Historical Association presents Clara Barton

Born in 1821, Clara’s life was dedicated to helping others. She accepted no pay as she taught poor children whose parents had no money to send them to school. She raised warehouses full of food, medicine and clothing during the Civil War and then courageously went to the front to nurse the wounded and dying. In 1881, she started the American Red Cross which is her legacy today.

Sheryl Faye presents Historical Women https://sherylfaye.com/ will portray Clara Barton in a pre-recorded performance available online on Monday, May 3,2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm only.
